Simple trust in Divine order is love in practice.
Love is not an emotion, it is taking a real-life choice in trusting the process of life, understanding that life is kind, understanding that every being is born with the capacity to grow and evolve.
Loving someone does not mean fixing every problem for them, it is trusting that people have the capacity to solve their own problems.
Love is not about always saying yes, it is the courage to believe that someone is strong enough to stand on their own. Sometimes our intentions come from a good place, we want to help, to heal, to make things right for the people we care about , but in trying to fix them we are actually seeing them as broken and we are also sending an unconscious message to them that they are not enough and that they need to be fixed.
Constantly rescuing someone may feel like love in the moment, but it can end up taking away their chance to become stronger, wiser and more self-reliant.
When our child starts to walk they continue to fall many times before they get their balance. We do not tell our child, ‘please stop walking, you will fall, I will carry you all your life’. We just allow them to fall many times and learn the balancing skill of walking.
Support others without carrying their weight. True love is about seeing people as capable, understanding the Divine order of things and allowing everyone to grow at their own pace.
True love in any relationship is not a rescue mission, it is about creating a safe space. It is saying, ‘ I see you, I give you my presence, I am here to cheer you on, hold your hand as you find your own way to wholeness.’
When you acknowledge that everyone is born capable and that your greater work is to be in the attitude of appreciation, you begin to experience the beautiful connection built on respect, patience and genuine compassion in all relationships.
True love is not control, it is freedom, acceptance, and conscious presence. The highest love and respect you give someone is to simply allow them to be who they are.
Allow the love and kindness in your heart to be available for yourself, love and care for others without overextending yourself. When you can love and respect yourself, you will know the way to love and respect others. Protect your peace while still keeping your heart open.
Blessings!
