CHOOSE TO FREE YOUR MIND

The highest devotion to the Divine is trusting the process of life.

The highest love and respect we give others is to allow them to be who they are.

Control is an illusion. We cannot control anyone’s thoughts, feelings or actions. You may think you can manipulate them but ultimately everyone is in control of their own lives.

It is not possible to control anyone or anything.

The only control we have is over our own thoughts and behaviors. It is important to be true to our own self and take responsibility for our own happiness.

We try to control how other people think or feel because we crave for their love and respect, or we start thinking about the opinion of others.

However, letting people be who they are without interference is the ultimate freedom.

Freedom for you and for them.

Releasing your grip on other’s actions, you remove yourself from stress.

Instead of losing your energy over things you cannot control, you use your energy for things within your control which is your thoughts, emotions and attitudes.Focus your energy on your own growth and well being.

Obsessing over controlling others or the situation leads to stress and disappointment.

Disappointment is always a reflection of your expectations. You get upset and blame the person or situation for not meeting your expectations.

Your disappointment is not the fault of others, it is the result of your own misplaced expectations.

It is very crucial to break this cycle.

Projecting your expectations on others like, ‘ they should have called me back’ or ‘they should have done this for me’ or ‘ they should know how much this means to me’, is emotionally painful. So instead sit with yourself in silence, process your thoughts, ask yourself, ‘ why do I expect this from others’.

Sincerely enquiring into your thoughts helps you understand that your expectations come from your own insecurities and needs.

You have not been there for yourself first, instead you have been micromanaging others.

Sitting with yourself and processing your thoughts is a powerful work, it helps you to release others from the burden of meeting your expectations. The more you try to control others, the more you lose control of yourself.

Acceptance is not about agreeing with what they do, but it is about stopping the exhausting battle against what you cannot control and actively choose to surrender the need to manage it.

Pain is an unavoidable reality of the human experience but suffering happens because of our resistance or rumination about that pain.

Cultivating present moment awareness, accepting the pain as a natural part of existence, allowing yourself to feel it without judgment creates transformation. The disappointment transforms into opportunity for personal growth and well being. You release yourself from resentment, you move away from the feeling of being stuck and get into the attitude of intentionally thriving. You build a healthier, balanced relationship personally with your own self and with others.

Meaningful self improvement is a lifelong work of choosing small consistent steps of intentionally improving your habits and mindset to keep yourself in a peaceful state of mind.

Your peaceful state of mind keeps your physical body healthy, improves your mental clarity and allows you to respond to daily challenges with resilience.

Blessings!
