If you see children they laugh easily, smile easily, they forgive, they share, they love easily. They are curious and they enjoy the simple things of life.
Choosing to get into the child-like state of mind is healing for body, mind and spirit.
Engaging in child-like behavior not only boosts our mood at the moment, it stimulates the release of specific chemicals from our brain.
Oxytocin, which scientists call the ‘love and bonding’ hormone, helps to promote trust, empathy and bonding in human relationships.
Dopamine, the chemical released from our brain, is associated with learning, memory and many more activities in the entire body system.
Serotonin, the chemical known as ‘mood stabilizer’ regulates mood, sleep cycles, learning ability, digestion and many more.
Endorphins are our body’s natural pain killers and stress fighters, they help reduce stress and discomfort. They are released when laughter is practiced.
Laughter, smiling, sharing, kindness, appreciation, and gratitude all help to release precious feel-good hormones from the brain.
Give yourself permission to do things purely for fun, to make your heart fill with joy.
Do anything and everything that makes you laugh or smile often.
Help someone in need.
Write thank-you notes.
Take time to appreciate everything in life, the people, the things you use, nature,.. everything.
Bless yourself, practice child-like state of mind, approach life with curiosity, playfulness and an open heart.
Feel and witness your body, mind and spirit heal and align with well-being.
