PROCESSING THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS

To truly process your thoughts and emotions, you must first step back and observe. See yourself as separate from the thoughts and feelings moving through your mind. Only when you can witness them without becoming them can you begin to change them. If you can observe something, then it is not you.

If you feel sick, notice yourself experiencing sickness. If you feel happy, notice yourself experiencing happiness. Simply sitting in stillness and observing yourself creates a shift in consciousness. The moment you recognize that your thoughts and emotions are not your identity, you open the door to growth. You stop participating in unconscious emotional patterns from the past.

Emotions are records of the past. When you are unaware, they continue to generate the same familiar thoughts and reactions over and over. The body does not know these emotions belong to the past, it becomes stuck there, unable to create a new future. This is why breaking the emotional chains of the past is essential. You cannot see the future clearly through the lens of old emotions.

Stepping out of habitual thoughts and feelings allows you to create a new and beautiful future. Life is always one of two things: creation through inspiration or survival through memory. You can always choose to create from inspiration and release the memories that no longer serve you.

Every day, every moment, you are a new being. When you are unconscious of this, you continue to identify with old thoughts and emotions, building a self-image from past baggage. But when you sit in stillness and observe your inner world, you stop losing yourself in it. You remain aware, present, and connected to your true identity.

A Simple Practice for Daily Awareness

Many times throughout the day, take a step back and see yourself. Watch yourself interacting with your environment. This is how you learn from yourself. In the same way, hear yourself. Listen to the words you speak, the words others speak, and the subtle sounds around you. This is how you begin to understand your True Self.

Life is not happening to you, life is happening through you. Life force is the essence that animates your body, and your body is its expression. The burdens of the past act as filters that block this life force as it moves through you.

When you unconsciously identify with old stories, you play the role of the “little me” who feels powerless. But when you release these identities by processing your thoughts and emotions, you come into harmony with the inspiration of the life force. It continually reveals the beauty and joy of creation.
Blessings!
