A REMINDER TO SELF
STILLNESS – KEY TO WISDOM
Stillness is an important art of living. It is following the path of least resistance and flowing with life with effortless ease.
Stillness brings greater solutions. It aligns us with the wisdom of the Universe.
Living from the mind and its storehouse of stories of the past and future is a huge burden. Unburden yourself and get into stillness.
Sit with a tree or even a potted plant if you have one and
observe its Presence in silence.
Remember as a child how you were attracted to a procession of ants or a bug on a plant.
Sit near a plant and take time to notice the insects that come to visit.
Watch the birds that come to visit your space. If you have a water bath or bird feeder, sit for a while and notice the birds that come and dance and play there.
If there is a pond with fish or if you have an aquarium at home, sit quietly and observe the fishes.
All of nature is in harmony with existence.
By these simple stillness practices, you get to notice, you take time to listen, you are open to the wisdom of the Universe and not running in anxiety with mind stories.
Stillness helps you to be in the experience without resistance or expectations. You are in the moment of least resistance. You are not trying to take control of situations and stressing yourself.
Our physical minds are not designed to know how something is going to happen, it is designed to know only what is happening at the moment and to experience it.
So when the physical mind just does the work of experiencing and not in the place of trying to control, an opportunity for inspiration is created.
When the physical mind gets out of the way, the Higher Mind/Spirit takes over the space and sends inspiration.
Inspiration is the most powerful way to move through the journey of life.
The mind can only operate from memories and trying to control situations with memories will only result in confusion and chaos.
So it is important to cultivate the art of stillness and act from the inspiration from Spirit/Higher Mind.
Getting into stillness, tuning yourself to the Higher Mind, you get into the rhythm of the Universe that brings answers and grand solutions. The job at hand is to work in harmony with the Higher Mind.
This is a great art of living life. Moving into harmony with existence, living without resistance, without expectation, being in the experience, are keys to unlock the riches of existence.
Your life gets more organized, puzzle pieces fall into place, you experience more synchronicity that brings people and things to you at exactly the right moment.
So when you get into the stillness of experiencing and get out of the way of taking control, you are in the place of trusting and allowing. And when you are in that space Divine inspiration flows bringing the right answers and solutions. You co-create with the Divine, you flow effortlessly and joyfully through life.
As you practice stillness , you find that thoughts happen to disappear and that you are calm, peaceful, and more alert to life.
The busy story telling of the mind that keeps you anxious has paused itself. Stillness is the antidote for a chaotic, story-telling mind.
This pause is also a time for the cells of the body to rearrange themselves, to shift and change and bring transformation.
When inner stillness happens, it radiates outer strength.
Your focus and stillness is so powerful that the Universe aligns itself with you. There are no mistakes or misfortunes in the Universe. All mistakes and broken stories are mind stories. Getting into stillness is getting out of the mind stories and getting in alignment with well being and abundance of the Universe.
You are not working hard to make things happen, but you are with the magic of aligning that is free from judgment and attachment and hence you become a happy witness to the beautiful unfolding of life by itself.
In this busy modern world it is important to create moments of inner stillness not only for ourselves but also teach children to get into stillness. For, we are truly the bringers of ‘Heaven’ on this Planet. We bring heaven by getting into stillness and helping beauty, abundance and joy to take birth.
When you are still, you understand that you are being breathed without any effort from you, it happens automatically, your body is being lived without any effort from you. A greater power is already taking care of you spontaneously without any effort from you.
The unfolding of life is beautiful, its purpose is greater than your thinking. It is wise to unburden oneself of heavy mind-stories. There is nothing broken, nothing to fix.
The work here is to get into stillness and align with the greater wisdom of the Universe and be open and available to co-create with the Universal energies.
Blessings!
