Feelings of acceptance, appreciation, joy, and gratitude help us connect with our inner wisdom.
We access our higher source of wisdom and love when we take responsibility for our feelings.
Empower yourself by assigning a positive meaning to everything that happens. When you do this, you naturally extract a positive effect. You attract experiences based on the way you define yourself.
Making better choices, choosing to feel better, helps you heal faster, and it also supports the healing of those around you. We do not need to be victims of circumstances. We have the power to access our inner potential.
We are capable of growing better at living, and we have the ability to step into the best version of ourselves every single day.
Here are some fun and simple ways to reprogram your brain to shift into a default mode of joy, gratitude, and inner wisdom, especially during tough situations:
1. Make a “Happy List.”
Sit with yourself and write a list of simple things that make you happy, things you love.
Keep adding to the list every day.
Each morning, choose one thing from the list and gift it to yourself that day.
2. Start a gratitude notebook.
Personalize it creatively, draw, paint, or decorate it with pictures that bring you joy.
Begin writing down everything you are thankful for, from the air you breathe to the loved ones in your life.
Write neatly, imagining you are creating a beautiful record of your life.
Before going to bed, read your list and feel the smile in your heart.
3. Transform negative thoughts into affirmations.
If a negative thought keeps repeating, write it down.
Then write the opposite of it and turn it into a positive affirmation.
Physically writing the affirmation is important. Carry it with you and repeat it throughout the day.
With enough repetition, you will be amazed to see the old negative thought dissolve.
4. Play with your imagination.
Take a situation you want to change and imagine the good outcome you desire.
See the situation and the outcome as a line from point A to point B.
Tell yourself you are walking from A to B, A-is from where you are and B-to the reality you want.
Then literally walk across the room as if you are walking that line into your new reality.
These are a few fun practices I use, and I notice amazing results.
I invite you, dear friends, to try them for yourselves.
Research shows that learning something new physically reshapes the brain through neuroplasticity.
We all have the capacity to teach our brain a new positive story and create new neural circuits that uplift our body, mind, and soul.
All it takes is the willingness to do the inner work — to tap into our inner potential.
We are born with extraordinary capabilities, and we can access them at any point in our lives when we consciously choose to reprogram our mind with better definitions about life.
Blessings!
