The narrative you tell yourself about yourself is very important.
A simple exercise to change a negative thought is to write the opposite of that negative thought in a piece of paper, keep it in your pocket, take it out often and read it to yourself silently or loudly as many times as you can.
Tell yourself the new and better story and really believe it.
The old stories of struggle and failure have become a habit. We have the choice to change the habit. When we start telling better stories we are feeding our brain new thoughts, our brain gets stimulated, it adjusts and synthesizes better versions of life.
Practicing gratitude and looking for the gift in all situations irrespective of what it may look like, this practice is a powerful inner work that can be practiced everyday. It is a personal translation process you adapt.
Allow life to move you forward, holding on to the past grievance will certainly keep you stuck in the same old story and the old story plays out itself again and again in different life experiences. Sit with yourself and look at the past experience fully and see where it has brought you, the benefits you gained from it, the wisdom you gathered from it
Tell yourself that you are telling a story of not what happened but a story of new creation. Keep encouraging thoughts like ,’it is getting better and better all the time’, ‘Wonderful things are entering my space’. When you tell a better story to yourself and others, there is a powerful energy momentum created.
The power of your will to make the choice, makes all the difference. It completely changes things. Many such experiments have been conducted in the scientific world and it always brought success.
Telling new and better stories brings ease, makes you feel better. As you continue telling the better story, you align with the better experiences that you desire for. You become the agent of change when you can keep yourself powered up with self care, taking care of your body and mind is an important everyday responsibility.
