Today’s question
Question: People are selfish, people in my family cheated me, did wrong to me. Because of them, I am suffering both mentally and physically even in my 40s.
You are the master of your life. You can always choose a different perspective of life.
When you judge you continue to suffer. When you judge you become unforgiving. Stopping judgment is not to justify the acts of the people who did wrong , but it is to keep yourself in a better place.
In this physical world you need your body to move through life experiences.
The body is innocent, the cells of your body listens to your thoughts and they think that whatever is happening is happening right now.
Someone would have hurt you10 years or 20 years ago, but if you are still thinking of that past experience and working up your angry or feeling judgmental and frustrated about it, then you are telling the cells of your body a false story. So the cells think the world is not a good place and they start losing the will to live.
Someone may have hurt you once but if you keep thinking about it hundreds of times, you are the one hurting yourself hundreds of times.
So you are absolutely the reason for your suffering, there is no one to blame.
The past is over and done with, the future is not born. The only thing real is this present moment.
And Life is kind, everything you need it is there in this present moment.
In this physical planet of duality there is both positive and negative, every situation has both positive and negative, they both work together to make us who we are at any given moment.
When you are constantly living in the past or future, you cannot come to the present moment. And when you cant come to the present moment , you also forget gratitude.
In this moment there are so many things to be grateful for in life. Get into gratitude to get out of anxiety and pain.
Be grateful for this moment in time for all the things you have in life, you have a body to experience the physical world, you have the sun, the fresh air to breathe, food to eat, a job to do, friends to love, the internet, the phone, and so on…… so much to be grateful for.
Gratitude erases our burdens, gratitude makes joy to be born in our heart, gratitude is a love song to yourself and to the Creator.
You are the master of your mind, do not go to where the mind goes, the mind only knows the past and the future. You the master being, teach your mind to come to the present moment, to realize the kindness of life.
The body follows the mind, if you do not teach your mind to think happy thoughts, to be in gratitude and appreciation, then the mind will mislead your body and your body will go into pain and problems.
Consciously choose to practice gratitude, choose to encourage beautiful inspiring thoughts through writings, affirmations and songs. Practice it in anyway you can. Just simply practice. By this you get to rewrite happy thoughts over the unhappy thoughts. And when you consciously make this a habit every single day, then surely the unhappy thoughts will get erased.
