SLOW DOWN, RELAX, LIFE IS A GIFT

When we take time to relax and enjoy every aspect of life, life becomes a joyous, sacred journey.

All the old habits and patterns of ‘busyness’ of this modern world, that we have encouraged so far is not helping us in anyway now. It is wise to discard old patterns so that we rewrite our story as a successful story of happiness and victory. We are so caught up in our worry thoughts and the constant need of the mind to do things that we fail to notice the simple things of life. What if the answer to our troubles is right in front of us.

Our mind separates everything and makes things complicated. We feel we have to work hard to find happiness. The answer is not about working harder, but it is about slowing down, noticing the simple things of life. Allow ourselves to receive the gift of life from the simple practice of noticing.

Waking up in the morning, take time to notice yourself for a moment, you become aware of the amazing beauty of your entire body being.

As you place your feet on the ground, notice the feeling of touching the ground, you will be surprised by a comfortable feeling of support.

As you walk, walk slowly, with awareness, you will notice the convenience of moving from place to place.

As you wash your face feel the coolness of the water on your skin, what a surprising pleasure it brings!

As you brush your teeth, notice each teeth, brush slowly, consciously, your teeth respond to your awareness and they stay healthy.

As you use the things around you, the tools, dishes, just take a moment to notice the ease and comfort they bring to your life.

As you eat food, take time to move with the food, notice the tongue and teeth working with integrity, follow the food down to the stomach, surprisingly you feel a great satisfaction and relaxation, your body stays healthy.

Take time to enjoy every interaction with life. Give your full attention when talking to people, listen with your heart, it makes you slow down and your interaction with them becomes successful.

When you hug your loved one, take time to be there, say words of blessing in their ear, feel the love in your heart for them. Feel your heart and their heart beating as one. This is a wonderful gift, for this love of yours will keep your loved one safe, your conscious awareness blesses them. Your relationship will blossom.

Take time to sit and watch the sunrise or the sunset everyday, see the sky turning pink and orange and purple. At night lay down on the ground and watch the sky full of stars. It is a kind of meditation. Just in these few minutes your worries fade away and you get into a peaceful state of mind.

Make time to connect with nature, sit with a plant and admire its beauty, watch a flower bloom, lay down on the grass, listen to the birds sing, go to the woods and stand on your bare feet and look up towards the sky, you come into the knowing that you are not just looking at things but you are a part of everything, you belong there, this feeling is oneness, the feeling of connection to everything. The mind relaxes, your breathing is peaceful, the worries and fears of the mind fade away, you are connected to the creative power of the Universe, in this oneness answers and solutions flow easily for all situations of life. The light of understanding is born within you.

We are powerful energy beings, we are a part of Source Energy and can never be apart. Our power comes from Source that created all things seen and unseen. Where we place our attention our energy flows and creates well being. Everything responds to our awareness and attention. We feel connected with Source, we get into the feeling of oneness.

We have forgotten this as we are so busy with everyday things. Slowing down from the busyness and placing our conscious awareness on everything around us is a powerful practice.

Our busyness was created by the fear, greed, competition and comparison of the ego mind. The mind only knows separation, it cannot understand oneness. This busyness of the mind has successfully created chaos and confusion individually and also on our Planet. The need of the hour is to erase these old patterns of busyness and rewrite them with conscious awareness and connection to create well being for ourselves and for our planet.

Let us slow down, give our attention and awareness to all life, appreciate the sacredness of our being, and make our moments blossom with well being.
