PRECIOUS PRESENT
The Present Moment is a powerful place to be.
In this busy modern world, we are so busy that we forget who we are, what we are doing, we are so caught up by things to do and continue to travel in our mind to the past or to the future.
This way of living has become so stressful. Sometimes we even forget to breathe.
In our busyness we forget to even look at the people we love, we forget to appreciate them and one day we suddenly realize that the time has flown away and we missed our chance to appreciate.
Living from the busy mind, we forget to get in touch with our inner world and also our outer world. We don’t give ourselves permission to make time to get in touch with what is going on inside or outside of ourselves. We forget to get in touch with our thoughts and emotions, we forget to understand ourselves.
The gadgets of the modern world make us so preoccupied that even if we have some leisure time we try to be engaged with our gadgets rather than get in touch with ourselves.
To come into the present moment is to live from the place of compassion and gratitude. Choosing to live fully each moment is compassionate service to oneself and to the world at large.
The way to get into the present moment is to consciously connect with the things in the present moment with all your senses. Applying your consciousness to the feelings of the sight, sound, touch, taste, smell that your senses pick up.
There is no need for thoughts, things are already there.
Be aware and acknowledge the things that are already there. These fill the present moment.
The more consciously focused you are on the things of the present moment, the more you realize the deeper truth of the essence, the timeless, the Presence that fills everything, you included.
Nothing exists without this essence.
Everything is connected to everything with this essence. There is no separation.
To sense this Presence is liberating. You come to understand that you don’t need to define yourself anymore with thoughts of ‘I am this’ or ‘I am that.’ The Presence has nothing to do with your age, status, or your achievements. The story of a ‘me’ disappears.
Tuning consciously with all your senses you understand that you are not the doer, you are not doing. You are not even breathing.
You are being breathed every moment, you are being lived every moment. You are so greatly loved. Grace flows in abundance.
The more you choose to tune into the present moment, you realize the definitions you have given as your body/mind is insufficient, they are not your identity anymore. You are so much more than who you think you are. You are a drop in the ocean of the eternal and you are the eternal in a drop.
You are being lived every moment, you are at the right time, right place doing the right thing. There is no need for the next thing, or the next thought to happen.
One of the ways to tune oneself more into the present moment is to start getting into gratitude and appreciation for all that you are able to be aware through your physical senses.
The more you are in the place of gratitude and appreciation, the more you tune yourself into the present moment.
The more you are int he Present Moment, the more you live your life to the fullest. You come into the realization that you don’t need to define yourself with the next thought or the next thing to do.

My Books
With this present moment, I am grateful, I am blessed by the kindness of others and by the love of the children I get to be present with each day.
I am not concerned that I didn’t exercise this morning, I am grateful for my body, that I have these senses to help me tune into the beauty of our planet and all the gifts blessed by our father and mother.
This present moment has me filled with awareness of joy, peace and gratitude!
Thank you for this article, it has brought my attention to the present!
