A QUESTION AND ANSWER
HEALING THE INNER CHILD
Some dear friends have shared with me their difficulty with loving the self.
You love yourself not because of selfishness but because you are the temple where in the Divine resides, and every thing you need in life is within your temple, and in order to receive your gifts you connect with your inner being/Divine Presence by loving yourself.
Loving yourself is the most empowering gift you can give yourself.
You overcome your limitations only by learning to love yourself immensely.
Loving the self is so important, because all relationships on the outside depend on it.
Every relationship with people, money, job, food, health, with the planet, with God/Creator , every relationship gets healed and healthy when the relationship with our own self is healed and healthy.
Sharing a question and answer session:
QUESTION:
I want to be in a loving relationship, but I block myself every time someone tries to have a relationship with me, I push them away and then I feel sad, am I a bad person?
ANSWER:
The first thing you need to do is forgive yourself and love yourself. If you continue to criticize yourself and continue to say that you are bad then you can never love yourself. If you are not able to love or appreciate who you are then you cannot love or appreciate anyone else. When you can’t love yourself you also cannot receive the love given to you by others, because deep within you feel that you are not worthy of being loved. So loving and forgiving the self is the answer.
QUESTION: Okay, how do I forgive myself?
ANSWER:
you have to stop complaining about you, you have to stop saying that you are bad or you did something wrong. See yourself as your own mother and look at yourself as your own child. How does a mother love the child, will she say the child is bad because she did something wrong? The mother forgives and loves.
Be willing to love and forgive yourself.
Mother yourself, be your own mother, hug yourself , there is a little child inside you, you are being very hard on her, you are not treating her right, you are always complaining about her.
Sit quietly for sometime, see this little girl within you, lift her up to your lap, hug her and tell her that everything is okay, and that you love her very much. Hug her with complete feeling of love from your heart. She is worthy of your love.
Also tell this little child that you are sorry for having ignored her and not recognized her for so long.
Sit in this imagination for sometime.
As long as you can.
Do this exercise everyday sincerely, wherever you are, whenever you get a quiet moment where you are not disturbed by people, pets or the phone.
The more sincerely you do it the more you will see beautiful changes within you and around you.
To feed your inner child and make it healthy, do all that you loved to do as a child, draw, paint, run down the beach, hug a tree, play with a pet, play with children, blow bubbles, play with water, play in the sand, lay on the grass looking up at the sky, fly a kite, listen to music, laugh a lot, smile for no reason.
Do everything to the best of your effort to bring love, joy, peace and ease into your life.
The more you celebrate life, the more life will celebrate you.
You yourself are the most important person in your life who needs to be loved by you, you deserve your love more than anyone else.
The moment you bring a beautiful relationship with yourself, all other relationships on the outside will automatically be set right.

I love how sitting with my inner child feels. This inner tool exercise brings a most beautiful insperience. I also have been trying to tune and check in with my inner child by smiling for no reason and laughing.
