HEAVEN IS IN THE PRESENT MOMENT

This present moment is overflowing with Heaven.
Only when we are present we get to see this gift of life.
Only this moment is real.
The thinking mind cannot be in the Present moment.
The present moment is just to be present. To notice, to observe, to see, to listen.
For this you have to be present, you cannot think about the past or future.

The true gift is your True Self. You are in this Present Moment, but your mind is travelling to the past or future. If you are mesmerized by the mind, you will never get to know your True Self.

Past and future are fiction stories of the mind, the memories get exaggerated day by day. Research says that every time you remember an event from the past, your brain networks change in ways that can alter the later recall of the event. So the next time you recall the event, you might not recall the original event but only remember only what you remembered the previous time.

The future is also a dream. Have you noticed that the future that we think never comes, it is because the future also becomes this moment. So our true relationship is with this Present Moment. To set right the past or the future, the solutions and answers are only found in the Present Moment. It is important to create a good relationship with the present moment because the future also becomes the present moment.

We all spend so much time in the past and the future, it is a part of the work of the mind. It is the mind’s process. But to understand and know the truth of who we are and to create grander solutions, it is important to take time out to get into the present moment. Because you can find yourself only in the Present Moment. The mind and its stories of past and future cannot accompany you there. The mind does not understand the present moment.

Focusing on the present moment without a mind story, to just be, to listen, you get to become more alert and aware to life. It is easy to get into gratitude, because you are able to see the gifts of life in the present moment.

We are energy beings and lack of energy manifests as problems and issues that show up in the body as internal conflict. Living from the mind on autopilot we lose a lot of energy in mind stories of judgment and fear. When you come often to the present moment, you increase your energy level. Noticing the gifts of life, it is easy to get into gratitude. Gratitude is high energy frequency.
Being a conscious observer in the present moment, it gets easier to make the right decisions and not waste energy on fear or judgment.

Eliminating unnecessary worries, you get to focus on the task at hand, it leads to good mental health and also you feel self confident in dealing with situations. It is easier to find solutions because the mind is clear in the present moment.

There are many simple practices to get into the Present Moment. Sharing some practices below:

Meditation is a wonderful practice to start with . Any simple meditation or just taking 15 minutes of your time everyday to close your eyes and just do nothing. All resistant thoughts drop away and clarity happens. Make an agreement with your self to practice meditation daily even if only for a few minutes and keep the agreement to yourself faithfully.

Breathing techniques are wonderful to bring relief from chaotic mind stories. Just taking one conscious breath is magical enough to drop mind stories. There are so many apps and guided breath techniques online that you can find and make a choice to do daily.

Going for a walk in nature, helps one to get out of the busy thinking mind. Hug a tree, talk to the animals, admire the flowers, feel the breeze on your cheek, smile a lot.

Take time to connect with your body. Listen to the messages of the body, discomfort or pain is the body’s message to slow down and take care. Give rest , relaxation, enough of water and nutrients for the body being to help you move though life with ease.

Gratitude journaling is one of the most important work to do everyday to understand the overflowing of Heaven in one’s life. The mind tends to remember negative things but quickly forgets the good things of life, because the mind continues to live in fear. It is important to sit with oneself and record the gifts of life in a journal everyday. Pour your feelings into every word you write.

All these practices help one to get into the present moment and take time out from scary mind stories. The more you diligently choose to be in the present moment, the more you get to live a magical life, you witness ‘Heaven’ on Earth.
