We begin our life as our heart. The heart is the first organ to form in our mother’s womb.
All ancient traditions have referred to the heart as the seat of intuition. There is a new field of research called ‘Neurocardiology’ and they have confirmed the heart to contain about 40,000 neurons, they call it the “little brain” in the heart, capable of independently processing information, making decisions, learning, and memory!
Research from the HeartMath Institute reveals that the heart plays a key role in intuition.
Intuition is the highest form of intelligence and every human is born with intuition. It is important that we connect with our own intuition and also teach our children to do the same.
Intuition is our internal guidance system. It keeps us safe from harm, directs us to the truth in any situation, leads us to our highest good, to the evolution of our consciousness.
The world we perceive around us is just information decoded in our brain. The information is received by the brain through our 5 senses which are very limited.
We live in a reality where information is a wave-form, our 5 senses pick up the waveform, turn it into electrical information and convey it to the brain. Our brain then decodes the information into a digital holographic image. It is the same information but in a decoded form. So the physical world as we know it is a decoded digital hologram. It is an illusion. Our physical body is also a decoded holographic expression of our mind.
We are the awareness, the perceivers. We are not objects. We are not solid, we are boundless.
When we put our belief in our outer world, we cannot access our inner world of intuition and wisdom. Our heart connects us to our true self, it is the seat of creativity and understanding. The electromagnetic waves of the heart extend from 8 feet to 10 feet beyond the body and they can sense situations before they happen.
Most people say they have a gut-feeling about something being right or wrong. What happens is, the heart senses the information and sends it to the brain as a signal. The brain then responds as a feeling in the body. The feeling may be like a feeling in the gut, or the hair standing out in the neck, all these happen even before the incident happens.
The heart seems to be connected to a type of intuition beyond time and space.
We are truly living our lives only when we connect with our heart.
As a modern civilization we have become so attracted to things outside that we made our lives so busy so that we refused to connect with our own wisdom on the inside. We chose to depend on the illusory world outside, decoded by our brain.
So we continue to live the illusion and we never take time to connect with the true self. We have become like the walking dead, we have cut off our own source to aliveness. When we continue to judge, we are always off balance.
The moment humanity connects back to the heart, we find our treasure. We walk the earth without hurting, we face our fears, and we shine the light of awareness which brings harmony to existence. Heart is the power of life itself,
Divine intelligence is in the heart and not in the intellect.
Take steps to connect with the heart’s intuition, receive guidance and live your life to the fullest.
I have found these steps to be powerful practices to connect with the heart’s wisdom.
1. Getting into stillness is important. Practice quiet times, withdraw from the world of 5 senses. When you are not involved with senses, your brain stops receiving information, and your mental space is clear to receive messages from your heart.
Preparing this space is very important. It requires dedicated practice everyday. Give at least an hour of your time before going to bed or when you wake up early in the morning.
Just sit in the dark with yourself. Just notice your breath and your heart beat.
2. Then from the still mind, place your hand on your heart and ask the question that you seek insight into. For example, the question like, “is this true”, “is this a right choice for me”, or ” what do I need to know about this situation?”
3. Just stay with the question. Be aware. Your body is your antenna that picks up the intuitive signals from your heart.
4. Notice the feeling that arises in your body. Depending on the positive or negative feeling, you have your answer at hand.
Tune into the feeling, does it feel good or does it feel uncomfortable. If it feels good, proceed in that direction, if not just move away.
5. Trust your guidance, it is always the right path for you.
Practice building this space to connect with your powerful intuition. Like any skill it takes time to master. Be your own best friend, and dedicate this practice for you so that you live your life to the fullest.
